Financial Accounting Coordinator

Manufacturing is the very core of our business as the world's largest manufacturer of dry dog and dry and soft-moist cat foods, and the leading producer of cat box filler in the United States.
As a Financial Accounting Coordinator in our Dunkirk, NY manufacturing site, you will be part of a core team that makes this manufacturing operation hum. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining the necessary accounting systems, procedures, controls and audits to ensure that this plant and division management are provided with a continuous analysis of financial accounting status and effective financial accounting and reporting.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Report on capital job spending and property accounting status including the monthly Capital recap report, Capital Review reports and Special Charges report
  • Report on monthly financial status of Balance Sheet reconciliations and Insurance report
  • Work monthly with Engineering on accurately reporting of capitalized engineering labor
  • Prepare/analyze month end reporting
  • Prepare and input time cards to assist in payroll every Monday while acting as backup of hourly payroll when Payroll coordinator is out of the office
  • Prepare payroll deductions from monthly store receipts
  • Assist in the completion of weekly health checks
  • Receiver of services and indirect material Purchase Order
  • Review the costing process in the material life cycle
  • Collaborate with the Financial Accounting Manager on annual budget preparation
  • Complete assigned operational audits
  • Supports Nestl Continuous Excellence (NCE) projects as needed.
  • Supports Total Performance Management (TPM) initiatives and projects as needed.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum):
Education:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Experience:
  • 1+ years of experience in an financial accounting support type of role
  • 1+ years of experience managing payroll processing functions
  • Strong skills with MS Office, Excel, Access, Payroll Processing software
  • Preferred experience with SAP
  • Preferred experience in a manufacturing environment

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
