30amSummary Description:
The Maintenance Tech III is responsible for maintaining and repairing commercial and industrial machinery for a beverage manufacturing facility.
Applies knowledge of mechanical principles in determining equipment malfunctions and applies skills in restoring equipment to intended operation.
Essential Functions:
Responsible for servicing product and equipment on assigned projects Maintenance, repair, and installation of boilers.
Identifies, analyzes, diagnoses & repairs boilers.
Checking & troubleshooting of boilers.
Provide coaching & guidance to other technicians on boiler repairs.
Performs preventative maintenance, site surveys, replacement, and modifications as needed.
Prepares for on-site installation and repairs by examining building layout, anticipating difficulties, gathering materials and coordinating on-site work, as necessary.
Maintains tools and equipment by inspecting for signs of wear.
Documents work by completing paperwork on each job and maintaining files.
Determines parts to order for repairs and timeliness of need.
Keeps current all manufacturers' products concerning installation, operation, maintenance, service, and repair.
Provides technical support to customers.
Flexibility to work overtime/weekends, as required.
Required Skills and Competencies:
Previous experience in machinery or other related fields Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Familiarity with industrial tools and equipment Working knowledge of electrical industry standards Ability to handle physical workload Use a Computer Strong knowledge of hand tools and own basic tools Work with others Be dependable and able to follow directions Ability to stand for long periods of time Work in a fast-paced environment Willingness to work toward goals Commitment to quality and accurate work is essential Commitment to safety Experience with emailProficiency Level:
Possesses beginning to working knowledge of subject matter.
Performs work under direct supervision.
Handles basic issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staffEducation and
Experience:
Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning; and 1-2 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Working Conditions:
Physical-Continuously standing or walking.
Regular requirements to lift/handle/carry material or equipment of moderate weight.
Visual/Sensory-This position requires regular need to give moderate attention with one or two senses at a time.
Work environment- Work and environment are very repetitive.
Mental Stress- There is pronounced pressure from deadlines, production quotas, accuracy or similar demands.
