Labor Services Representative/Trainee 1/2 - Dunkirk
STANDARD DUTIES:
The Labor Services Representative/Trainee 1/2 duties will include but are not limited to the following:
o assist customers and provide a broad range of services to jobseekers and employers both on an individual basis and through group presentations. o interview customers to evaluate the nature of services desired, obtaining a complete work history including job experience, education, skills, salary ranges and job preferences. o identify barriers to employment and develop solutions to these barriers. o intensive job placement assistance is key through developing skills-based resume, successful employment interview coaching, providing continuing job leads, conducting employment referrals and advocating for the job seeker when applying for a job. o provide information on resources available through the Department of Labor.

Your degree must have been awarded by a college or university accredited by a regional, national, or specialized agency recognized as an accrediting agency by the U.S. Department of Education/U.S. Secretary of Education. If your degree was awarded by an educational institution outside the United States or its territories, you must provide independent verification of equivalency. Hourly LSR's are not eligible for transfer or reassignment. PROVISIONAL
Qualifications:
You must have a Bachelor's degree . The appointed candidate would have to take, pass and be reachable on the next holding of the examination to be appointed permanently. Your degree must have been awarded by a college or university accredited by a regional, national, or specialized agency recognized as an accrediting agency by the U.S. Department of Education/U.S. Secretary of Education.
